Why Pine Tree?

Here you will discover a relaxing atmosphere with comfy new beds, custom designed duvets and bedspreads all with the unique flavor of the Adirondacks. Knotty pine interiors surround you with warmth and outdoorsy lamps give off a soft glow.

Enjoy a game of horseshoes, serve up a game of volleyball, play badminton, or try croquet. There is also a Hula Hoop for those of you who remember that!

In the evening you may sit by the friendly bonfire. (We supply the marshmallows!) Enjoy the star-studded sky and moon up above. If you play an instrument bring it along!

Family and friends all have their signatures on the renovations that have and are taking place since the McClelland's purchased Pine Tree Motel in May of 2001.

Proprietress Norleen had to be taught the correct way to hang sheets by her friend Mary. Her friend Debbie dug in and Norleen learned to garden. Her sisters have used up gallons of paint and a truckload of mulch. Norleen's husband Bert, who was already a handy guy, learned how to install showers and roofing, siding and windows, and generally does not find himself bored.

Their three daughters, Angela, Trisha, and Jennifer, have been an immense help in every facet of the business - from work to entertaining guests. Even their friends come up and pitch in. This past fall youngest daughter Jennifer married Jason Whitewing in the beautiful outdoor setting of Pine Tree Motel.

Bert's sister and brother-in-law come for "visits". They build porches & renovate rooms. Wait until you see the unique, custom made duck lamps! Both Norleen's and Bert's mothers, (in their 80's) are also keeping active with sewing and hanging/folding linens!

You will enjoy a peaceful night's sleep, relish in the scent of line-dried linens, wake to the chirping of birds, and sit on your porch with complimentary morning coffee/tea.

We are wheelchair friendly and pet friendly. Family is foremost and we try to accommodate everyone.

Groups are welcome and special packages can be arranged.

We can sleep 36 in 18 double beds, and have a few air beds and a roll-a-way. Charter buses are welcome. Easy turn-a-round and parking.
